On March 7, Senator Blanco introduced the HEAL (Healthcare Expanded & Accessed Locally) Texans Act, S.B. 1700, which will allow APRNs to practice to the full extent of their licensure and expand patient access to quality, local healthcare in every Texas community. We applaud Senator Blanco for introducing this important legislation for patients.
The HEAL Texans Act is about patients, and supporting families and communities access the quality healthcare they need, when they need it. And lawmakers need to hear their stories.
If you have a patient, family member, friend, or neighbor whose life has been positively impacted by a nurse practitioner, encourage them to record a short video testimonial about their nurse practitioner and why they support access to care and the HEAL Texans Act.
